Events-Journey for Janice - Journey for Janice 2018

The Journey for Janice is a ride in memory of Janice Freedman to support Muscular Dystrophy Canada. This event was started in 2015 to help individuals living with neuromuscular disorders. In honour of Janice, her son Jordan Freedman and his close friend Hartley Ruch set out to raise awareness for this very worthy cause.

Jordan cycled 2200km from Toronto to Halifax, supported by Hartley in a car. The first Journey for Janice community ride took place in 2017 and raised $15,000. Since 2015, $45,000 has been raised for MDC. Building off the success of 2017, the ride will continue as an annual community event to honour Janice Freedman and to support others living with neuromuscular disorders.

This year's ride will be on Sunday, May 27. It will begin at Bruces Mill Conservation Area (3291 Stouffville Road Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario) and will feature a 50km course and a 100km course.
