Meet our Sarnia Walk for Muscular Dystrophy Ambassador

Chuck Joosten is hosting this event and will be there to greet you at the walk!

I was diagnosed at age 51 but looking back, signs of weakness had appeared years earlier. I was president of the London Chapter of volunteers and clients and was involved in the 1st London Walk for Muscular Dystrophy many years ago.

The Walk event makes my family more aware of my mobility or lack thereof and they support the Walk. The Walk is a great way to raise awareness within my own family, and also my local community. My tips for a 1st time participant would be to use all forms social media including the Walk website. You can send emails (my best fundraising is done through emails), post on Facebook and other social media.

I am walking to help others affected and to find a cure so people may not have to go through what I have gone through and not have to face the problems and future struggles I will have to face.
