Meet Waterloo Region Walk Ambassadors, The Martin Family

James is the leader of the team, James Journey. He is an amazing 14 year old boy that lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was diagnosed on February 1, 2012, and every day is a challenge in some way, either physically or emotionally. James perseveres through it all and makes sure that he enjoys each day to it's fullest!
James's mother, Rachel, is a huge community supporter in the Region of Waterloo. Since there is no chapter there, she plans activities to get everyone out and enjoying things together. She makes sure she attends all of the local MD families fundraisers. In addition to supporting Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Rachel also participates in marathons to support other agencies that provide help to those with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

James and the rest of the Martin family want YOU to walk with them! They need your support to raise funds and awareness for muscular dystrophy! Join them on Saturday, June 9 at the Waterloo Region Walk4MD!
